What People's Say About Place

Great food and big servings at Melanie’s Kitchen! We met the Filipino owner, and Nadine was so kind. The staff were all nice and welcoming. We’ll definitely come back here the next time we visit Hays, Kansas.

The food is so good and fresh. There is a little bit of a wait time for the food but the staff is very kind and keep you informed on wait times. Definitely recommend this place since all the food is fresh and delicious. I had the chicken curry, the sesame chicken, and their mango bubble tea. Thr sesame chicken was probably my favorite, the chicken was juicy and tender. Good hand cut chicken with so much flavor. The sauce that they use on it is divine. The chicken curry has a rich flavor. It has a hint of spice that pairs very well with their rice. The mango bubble tea was sweet and refreshing. Overall the sesame chicken was the best thing I tried but everything else was so good and flavorful. Everything is homemade and so so good.

Melanie’s kitchen is a great place to eat. Their staff is friendly, upbeat, and courteous. Our server was Lourdes and she was very attentive, informative, patient with questions, asked us if it was our first time, made suggestions from the menu, allowed us to ask questions and was very welcoming overall! We had the Chicken Pho, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Shrimp, Matcha Green Tea boba, and we had crab Rangoon as an appetizer. I saw other people had crab Rangoon as an appetizer as well. The coconut shrimp was the perfect hint of sweet and was very well cooked, the Chicken Pho has a lovely broth and if you like spicey they will give you spicey, it was very pleasing to the eye, the sesame chicken was the perfect mix of sweet and salty. The crab rangoons were folded in a way I hadn’t seen before and were the perfect soft and crunchy and the dipping sauce was great. The boba was really good too, nice portion size/price and had plenty of boba balls. The restaurant space was very open and clean feeling and felt good to sit in. There is a cool Asian market inside the restaurant as well. We will definitely be going back!

The comfort of a home-cooked meal but the taste of a professional chef. My server was lovely and very busy but made time for everyone. I had bubble tea and the Kung Pao Chicken, which I highly recommend if you like spice. You can taste how freshly made the ingredients are. I travel for work and I’m adding this to my “must stop and eat” list.

Got the combination dinner and crab rangoon pretty tasty, crab rangoon with dipping sauce was probably my favorite. Dine in, I got the coconut shrimp. Wow, delicious.

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered Crispy Kare-Kare, and it was fantastic—no kidding! The vegetables were perfectly cooked, the peanut sauce was flavorful but not overpowering, and the crispy pork was exquisite. We also tried their Ginataang Hipon, Pansit, Sisig, Lechon Kawali and Lumpia—these are definitely must-tries. As for the Sisig, it might be a bit spicy for those who aren’t familiar with it, so be sure to inform them of your preferred spice/heat level.

Excellent food. Is fresh cooked, so takes a little longer but worth it! She cuts her own vegetables fresh,.uses fresh seasonings, like ginger. Some of the best Asian food I have had. I live over an hour away, but enjoy it when I have the opportunity to eat there. Reasonable prices with large portions. Cashew chicken is my favorite. Highly recommend.
